devoted to certification, training, networking and community
involvement.

Certification |
|
Locally, ASQ Vancouver provides opportunities to become
certified to any of the internationally recognized certifications
that ASQ provides. With training opportunities through BCIT and ASQ
Vancouver and exams hosted at BCIT’s Burnaby campus, certification
exams allow members to gain new skills, upgrade their proficiency
and invest in their career by becoming a Certified Quality Auditor,
Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, and Certified HAACP Auditor…and many
, many others.

Training |
|
ASQ Vancouver has many training,
workshop and quality clinic programs throughout the year, including
Six Sigma Green Belt training. Affordable, comprehensive and
instructed by leaders in Quality, these programs provide insight,
further understanding, practical knowledge and, in some cases, the
groundwork for certification exams.

Networking |
One of the key benefits of membership in the
Vancouver section is the tremendous networking possibilities!
Members meet once a month (usually every second Thursday). This
meeting may involve a Quality Clinic or seminar by a leader in the
Quality field or a tour of one of the many world class companies in
the Vancouver Area. Tours are a great way to see Quality Principles
in action and to meet other professionals like you!

Community Involvement |
|
The most rewarding part of ASQ Vancouver
membership is the ability to use your knowledge and time to make a
difference in our local community. We are proud to support our
Community Good Works program bringing volunteers from our membership
to work together using quality principles to help a non-profit
organization. The organization also receives a $5000 grant to
implement possible solutions. In 2008, Little Mountain Neighborhood
House benefited from this program and in 2009, ASQ members are
assisting the Multicultural Helping House Society.
